Big Ass Edwardian Hats Workshop 
10am - 2pm
Create a lovely design for Black Ascot,
Titanic Parties or Derby Day!


Spend the day crafting your own special spring creation in the secret basement workshop of Wells and Verne in Sellwood! Your Big Ass Edwardian Hat is suitable for wearing as you go sailing aboard a large ocean liner (hat doubles as life preserver) or as an addition to your spring garb for Derby Day.

Instruction, all materials and supplies included. A selection of fabric and floral ornaments will be available in a "dark" or a spring palette. You may also bring your own special fabric, ribbons, flowers, or ornaments to match your outfits. Contact me for details.

Suitable for beginner to advanced crafters. Limited to 10 adults. A small amount of hand sewing is necessary. Haute glue will also be available.


Cost of workshop, instruction & materials $50.
Class is limited to 10 participants. Please pre-register by paying your class fee by 3/10/2013.

About the instructor: Lorien "Stormfeather" Fletcher: Certified Mad Hatter and local costume enthusiast, with many years of workshop experience will help you create your own fetching Edwardian "Big Ass" Hat.  In the winter she also holds a Victorian Caroling Bonnet workshop.


Wells and Verne: our host is a lovely Neo Victorian Shoppe for Men and Women inspired by Goth, Industrial and Steampunk located in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, OR. They carry handmade goods from our local Portland family, national and international craftspersons. You'll find clothing, accessories and anomalies to delight your curiosity..
